Conventionally, X-ray inspection apparatuses are well-known which have an X-ray-inspection table with an X-ray source and an X-ray detector and measure a specified portion of an object to be inspected through an inspection table. When an object is placed on the inspection table, the X-ray detector detects X-rays which have been irradiated from the X-ray source and has penetrated the object. Accordingly, by analyzing information about the X-rays detected by the detector, the object can be detected as X-ray image information. In conventional X-ray inspection apparatuses, when information about X-rays having energy higher than a specified energy is to be processed, it is necessary to discard information about X-rays having energy lower than the specified energy. For this reason, as the inspection table or the X-ray source, it is necessary to prepare a table or a source which has the energy and which is capable of emitting X-rays up to the specified energy.
