Each exercise bout consisted of 15-min periods at 75% maximal oxygen consumption (mean ± SD, 51.8 ± 4.1 mL·kg·min(-1)) or 105% maximal oxygen consumption (70.8 ± 5.5 mL·kg·min(-1)). In both exercise tests, a reduction in the values of R-R interval variation (p = 0.035) and the standard deviation of R-R interval (p = 0.047) were observed. A reduction in the values of the high frequency domain (p = 0.005) and the root mean square of the difference of successive R-R intervals (p = 0.009) were observed in the aerobic test. No difference was detected for the root mean square of the difference of successive R-R intervals (p = 0.232).
